Day at the Capitol

MAIA’s Day at the Capitol is typically held in early March each year at the Courtyard by Marriott in Jefferson City. This important event allows members’ voices to be heard on issues important to agents and their clients. MAIA CEO Matt Barton leads an issues briefing to prepare you for your visits with your state senators and representatives.

This event is FREE for members, but we do ask that you register in advance.

Members of NAIFA-MO and MOAHU also join MAIA at the Day at the Capitol, increasing our representation with the legislators. 

We ask you ride the shuttle to and from Courtyard by Marriott as there is limited parking at the Capitol for everyone to drive individually.

MAIA has a contracted room rate of $164 per night (plus parking fees) for rooms booked by Feb. 4, 2026.
