Temporary Producer License Expiration Dates Extended
While many public spaces in Missouri are opening back up, the ability for individuals to complete a qualifying examination in order to apply for an insurance producer license has been somewhat slower. MAIA previously worked with the state of Missouri to allow newly-hired agency and carrier staff to obtain a temporary producer license, even though an examination had not been passed. Those licenses were set to expire 90 days from issuance. However, in light of a delayed ability for those individuals to schedule and pass an examination, the Department of Commerce and Insurance is extending the expiration date an additional 60 days. Individuals should still seek to schedule their examinations as soon as possible. See the department bulletin here.
