Small Agency Conference

ABOUT 
This annual conference, which began in 1990, is designed to meet the unique education and networking needs of small to mid-sized agencies—agencies that write a lot of small accounts, and not as many large commercial accounts. Consequently, these agencies come from both metropolitan areas as well as small towns and rural areas. The conference includes a trade show with nearly 100 companies exhibiting, timely education programs, CIC and CISR conferment ceremonies, and various opportunities for networking, and much company involvement. This event is traditionally held in Columbia, Mo.
 
AGENDA
Typically, the conference starts on Thursday morning with a keynote speaker, followed by an education session before the conferment luncheon. Thursday afternoon features three concurrent sessions that repeat, allowing attendees the opportunity to attend two of the three sessions. Thursday evening is the trade show and dinner. Friday morning offers another education session. 
 
EXHIBIT HALL
This conference offers companies, vendors and wholesalers an evening trade show and dinner in the exhibit hall. There is nothing else going on opposite the trade show times. There are historically close to 100 exhibitors including both p-c and l-h insurance companies, wholesalers, technology vendors, construction and auto body vendors, etc.
 
ATTENDANCE HISTORY
Historically on average this conference draws around 280 agents, 75 wholesalers and 215 company reps. These agents come from mostly small to mid-sized agencies in both rural and urban areas around Missouri.

OPTIONAL EVENTS
Crawfish Feast
While it's not an official part of the conference, the Crawfish Feast has become a pre-conference tradition. On Wednesday night before the conference, the Young Agents host a Crawfish Feast at the Knights of Columbus hall just down the road from the hotel. In addition to crawfish, the menu includes pulled pork, smoked chicken and a long list of side dishes. There is a shuttle that will take you to and from this all you can eat and drink event!
 
E&O Seminar
We try to offer you as much education and CE as possible in a short amount of time, so on the Wednesday before the conference, there is an E&O seminar held at the Holiday Inn. Agencies who are sending someone to the conference can attend the E&O seminar at a discounted rate.
